FEMA - Failing to Efficiently Manage Anything

How stunningly incompetent can any one government agency be? In the case of FEMA, the incompetence has been shown to be boundless. The latest fiasco involves trailer keys and the fact that one key may be able to open as many as 50 trailers. No wonder there have been reports of trailer break-ins. Those who have been robbed can certainly point the finger at FEMA and make the beleaguered government agency responsible for any damages and losses.
Why didn’t FEMA give every trailer occupant a unique key? Well, according to FEMA, there were not enough trailer lock manufacturers, in fact, only three in the whole country. The claim that only three companies in the whole country can make trailer locks is preposterous, but that is what FEMA wants everyone to believe. It is another example of the ludicrous excuses that FEMA always uses for its incompetence.
In answer to Jeff’s question, I don’t think there’s an upper limit on FEMA’s incompetence. It’s the one thing at which they seem to excel. FEMA and the Corps of Engineers - your tax dollars at work.
