Meet My Blog-Daughter

Meet Susanna. Not only is she my blog-daughter, but she’s The Daughter Of The House. She deserves your respect and admiration, having had to live with me for a mother for the last sixteen years. Just surviving my cooking should merit some kind of award - someday I’ll post about the Chicken Surprise. But I digress. Aside from her parental travails, she is a dedicated home school student. She actually works much harder at her independent studies (via the Abeka curriculum) than she did in either public, parochial, or private school.
More than anything, Susanna is interested in music. How interested? This interested:

She plays the guitar, piano, and drums. We actually had to get rid of her bed to fit more musical equipment into her room. She has a mini recording studio and computer installed in her closet, with about 20 inches of space left for her hanging clothes, microphone stands and various equipment.
She’s started blogging some of her musical experiments. Go see, and if you’re inclined, leave a comment with some constructive criticism or encouragement. We don’t know what God is going to do with Susanna’s life - whether her musical talent will translate into her life’s work or not, but for now, she’s having a great time and making some pretty good music for a beginner.
And whatever you do, don’t miss “Mares Eat Oats” - a completely spontaneous example of a recording session gone wrong. She and three friends were making a four song CD for their parents, and they went berserk with this “secret” song. I love it.

I listened to that song (”keep on shining”) - it’s beautiful.
Bill - thanks! Visit http://www.dorianscale.com if you have time, and tell her “in person” - she’ll be thrilled!
You have a very talented daughter!!
Her music and voice are beautiful. I play piano and organ a little, but no natural ability. Hubby is a natural from birth, plays any instrument, no training, sings, composes, just for his own enjoyment. Had a music scholarship but for him ’studying’ music was horrible. He just wanted to play. Which he does as a hobby.
Your daughter has a great talent and I’m sure that God will guide her into the path she is supposed to take. I’m sure music will be a part of her future, whether is it her job or just her joy.
Wow hun the song is awesome..I’m jealous..lol..God bless u all!..I have linked but some tb’s arent goin thru lately..sigh..:)
Angel, I checked the moderated queue and nothing there from you - is the problem at my end? Anything I can help with?
Thanks for pointing to her site. I’m a musician, as well, so what Susanna’s doing strikes a chord with me. I’ve add her to my blogroll and will be following her updates. It’s very exciting to see young people taking an interest in music.
