A message from The Autopsy Yes, Romney’s a Mormon. What of it?

As a follow-up to this post on global warming, here is another link. The Global Warming Hysteria website is going to be a repository for material that debunks the climate change scaremongering to which we’re being subjected - yet again for the fourth time this century, alternating global cooling and warming scares. How is it that the public has not caught on to this media generated cycle of hysteria? Because each generation is subjected to only one switch. When I was a child, global cooling (and the population bomb) were the big problems to deal with. By the time I was a teenager, the switch to global warming began to take place, with various explanations for the switch. Now that I’m approaching 40, it’s nearly reached it’s peak. My daughter has been subjected to the warming propaganda her entire life, and when it inevitably changes to cooling, she won’t remember that global cooling is the same recycled scare her mother grew up with. Now, with quick and easy research via the internet, we might be able to break the cycle that’s gone on for more than a century.

The Global Warming Hysteria site owner, Peter C. Glover, explains his reasons for creating the site:

But I am a writer and journalist who takes a strong interest in truth and truth and a level ‘playing field’ in the public square of free speech and genuine debate too. That is why I find the mainstream media’s attempt to close down the global warming debate so concerns me. When it comes to the climate change (i.e. an oxymoron, climate is always changing) debate I am no expert - but then that really is the point. There are NO ‘experts’ when it comes to the complex and relatively new science of climatology.

It is only when you read more of the various scientific opinions and study the evidence for yourself that it emerges the science “consensus” is actually a myth, as these pages reveal. And, in any event, quotes onthis site show, “consensus” is the last thing science ought to be about on its road to discovery.

What we know for certain is that the earth, on average, has undergone a one-degree warming (most of it before 1940) over recent decades. All else, is pure speculation and theory, much of it based upon extremely fallible computer modelling rather than actual evidence.

The site includes a blog, and as a sample of the kinds of posts you’ll find there, check out How do the IPCC justify downplaying the effects of the sun?

In spite of what we’re hearing from the media, the jury is still very much out on global warming, and in view of the disturbing pattern of the reporting on climate change for the last 100+ years, it should remain so. I’m not against good stewardship. There’s no good reason to pollute or to be wasteful if it can be avoided. But there is also no good reason to allow our society and our economy to be held hostage to continuous cycles of bad reporting. A little common sense would go a long way in this debate. As one wag commented on this Wizbang post, “Climate Change … what people used to call weather.”

In an effort to keep this blog both PG-13 and to discourage spam, I've installed a plugin that asterisks out profanity and common spam words. When you see asterisks in a comment, you can mouse over the word to see it in a screen tip.

Of course the climate is always changing. That’s the point. The average global temprature at any given point in history depends on a balance of atmospheric ingredients.

At this time we are adding more CO2 to the atmospher than any other time in human history. Common sense tells us that this is not a smart thing to do with such a changable system. Anybody that thinks this is not reason for concern is off base.
