Joel Berg Violates the 10th Commandment

And Bob Krumm smacks him around for it.  But these days, violating that commandment is a feature, not a bug, to more than half the country.

The very word “entitlement” just feels greasy to me; that’s how much I hate it.  And I’m having a hard time separating disgust against the attitude with disgust toward the people who feel it; a clear violation of Jesus’ greatest commandment – Matthew 22:36-40.

A couple months ago Udo Middleman (of Francis Schaeffer’s L’Abri fame) gave a talk at the local (formerly Baptist) Seminary. In the middle of his recitation of New York Times platitudes about the nature of capitalism, I nudged my wife and muttered, “When did they repeal the 10th Commandment?”

They’ve “repealed” quite a lot of the bible, even at Baptist seminaries. How we had so many signatories on “A Common Word” was just baffling.
