A Bad Day Gets Better

A bad day – pain that Darvocet just isn’t helping at all, just feeling crappy in general, bursitis, trying to focus on work, getting further behind on this book, my husband and daughter’s health problems and trying to juggle all three of our doctor’s appointments, physical therapy and meds, concern for my mother who is taking care of her roommate with cancer, and just generally feeling exhausted and overwhelmed.

And then… these, from my husband, were delivered twenty minutes ago:
(Ignore the messy desk and just look at how gorgeous the flowers are!)

And the tax bill came in the mail… for $1.06. That’s not a misplaced decimal. One dollar and six cents.

And a refund check for $138.90, because our health insurance actually paid for part of the x-rays my daughter needed done.

And the good side of being sick? I lost nine pounds this week.

Life is good. :-)

Yay for being able to smile in spite of feeling icky! Yay for husbands who send flowers! And yay for unexpected blessings!
