I tend to think of things in computer terms, and the Ladies’ Retreat conducted by my church this weekend is no different. For me, it was a life reboot. I’ve been bogged down lately, very sluggish, with too many things in memory and spending too much time just sitting there with an hourglass displayed while I tried to process too many things at once. Looking busy, but not really getting anything done.
So this weekend served as a reboot – forcefully stopping all current processes, going through some housekeeping procedures during the restart where the critical processes were taken care of first and then the basics were gradually loaded. It’s too easy to get bogged down in daily life and take God, my operating system, for granted. I’m very thankful for (yet another) fresh start.
