A Whole Nother Thing

Quick rant o’ the day – E.D. Hill just used this phrase on Fox News, but I’ve heard it on all the news channels and many other places.

There is no “that’s a whole nother thing.”

They mean, “that’s another whole thing” which is poor wording in any event. They could also say, “a completely different thing” or “that’s another thing.” When people use this phrase, they sound like idiots. But for pity’s sake, can we kill this before it gets added to dictionaries, like “irregardless” was? Sure, “irregardless” is in dictionaries now – as a nonstandard word. But that’s pretty recent – it isn’t a proper word, it was added simply because so many people use it. Ever wonder what the difference between “regardless” and “irregardless” is? ::: crickets chirping :::

  10. For Best Results, Try Not to Act Like a Terrorist

  14. This has to be defended?

Guess what it is that the MSM can tout all day long, and only on one side of the ledger, but that the President, when he brings up the numbers in the other column, apparently has to defend doing so.
