I’m not making light of this, really: Mexico: 5,000 migrants died on way to U.S. since ’94 – USATODAY.com
Mexico’s National Human Rights Commission says more than 5,000 Mexican migrants have died in deserts, rivers and mountains trying to reach the U.S. since 1994.
The commission says governments must do more to protect migrants from robbers, smugglers and others who seek to exploit them.
But the solution is not to protect “migrants” (i.e. illegal aliens). It’s to start tacking the drugs and corruption and other quality-of-life issues that make Mexico (and Guatemala, and other C.A. countries) suck less so their citizens stay home instead of risking their lives trying to get into a decent country.
