MUMBAI – Ajmal Amir Kasab, the sole surviving member of the 10-man team of Pakistani gunmen that left hundreds dead or wounded after a bloody three day rampage in Mumbai, today blamed the mayhem on an “email mixup” that left him and his colleagues unaware that Barack Obama had won election as President of the United States.
…”Boy, talk about having egg on the face,” said a visibly embarrassed Kasab. “If we knew Bush was on his way out, obviously we would have called off the crazy random baby-shootings and martyrdom stuff, and signed on with the Peace Corps or Habitat for Humanity. At this point I guess all I can say is ‘my bad.’”
But given an MSNBC anchor’s shock that Obama’s election had not yet stopped terrorism, truth is still a bit stranger than fiction.
This is awful.
I believe things around the world will start to change when Obama takes office and his team begins to implement their policies. At least thats my hope!
Sherlock, what do you think will change, and why will it change? Please be specific. For example, do you think other countries will suddenly start sending troops to Afghanistan to help with the war effort? Or do you think Islamic radicals will decide – as in Iowahawk’s parody – to join the Peace Corps? Will Robert Mugabe and Hugo Chavez stop starving their countrymen? Somalian pirates will lay down their guns and pick up fishing nets? Zawahiri and bin Laden will surrender, or at least stop planning attacks?
