Clark Hoyt calls the NYT readership
arguably the most elite audience in the nation.
If by “elite” he meant “elitist” then I certainly agree. This was in response to Bill Kristol joining the NYT stable of columnists. Kristol had the temerity to suggest that the Attorney General investigate, and just possibly prosecute, the NYT for publishing classified information.
