Bishops say Catholic schools should provide Islamic prayer accommodations

No, this isn’t The Onion. These men have gone INSANE.

Muslim prayer rooms should be opened in every Roman Catholic school, Church leaders have said.

The Catholic bishops of England and Wales also want special toilet facilities in schools to be adapted for Islamic cleaning rituals.

What should be obvious:

“If Muslim parents choose a Catholic school then they accept that it is going to be a Catholic school and there will not be facilities for ritual cleansing and prayer rooms.”

I wouldn’t go into a mosque expecting to find a cross there. Nor should any such insane demands by me be met. The Bishops claim to be engaging in inter-faith dialog.  I have news for them.  Dialog goes two ways.  What concessions have Islamic leaders made to engage with other faiths?  Have they acknowledged that Jesus is Lord, and not just a prophet?  Have they admitted that God is, in fact, knowable – because he became incarnate specifically to be known?  Have they at least acknowledged that levying a special tax on non-Muslims is wrong?

Muslims, naturally, are happy to accept the fealty of their dhimmi class:

But Majid Khatme, a Muslim who sent his children to a London Catholic school, said he was delighted by the gesture.

“It is very kind of the bishops if they give this facility for Muslims to pray,” he said.

“I would love to send a letter of thanks to the bishops, really. If they do this all Muslims in Britain will be thankful to the Catholic Church to have facilities to pray. It is very, very encouraging.”

I bet he is encouraged.  Sharia can’t be far off.  Really, the more articles like this that I read – and there’s a steady stream of them – the more I’m forced to conclude that the West is failing and England is lost.  On the one hand we have the steady weakening of the Christian faith, even to the point that Christian leaders were willing to pray to Allah for forgiveness and Yale Divinity School required Christians to adhere to Muslim dress standards on campus during a recent event.  On the other there is the recent movement here to start using taxpayer dollars to provide Islamic accommodations.  It’s clear we need to start pushing back, both in the secular sense and in the spiritual sense.
