CAII Roundup

Some recent posts by the Coalition Against Illegal Immigration:

Who Runs this country? ¿Quién funciona este país? President Lectures Congress….. Passes Resolution….. The elections are over and the President is laying down the law to the new Congress……… ”with a resolution calling on the U.S. Congress to suspend the deportation of Elvira Arellano and any other illegal immigrant parents of U.S. citizens. Acknowledging that Arellano broke U.S. law, he said,”We think there exist certain elements of a humanitarian nature that should be taken into account to avoid splitting up the family.”

What’s the catch? The President to which he refers is the president of Mexico. Sticknstein notes some interesting details about Mexico’s immigration policy – something vastly under-reported by the media.

RightTruth points out that there are a lot more people playing fast and loose with our lax immigration policies besides John McCain’s lettuce pickers:

Terrorists gain entry to U.S. via Religious Visas The headlines read, “Homeland Security: Dozens posed as church workers to gain visas” but the questions is ‘why’. Why has our government not clamped down on all sorts of visas that are being used by the enemy? Student visas, especially students claiming they want to come to the U.S. to take English language training and bad guys claiming to be religious leaders entering the country with Religious visas and the most abused.

The Uncooperative Blogger points out yet another instance of small-town America doing the job the Feds won’t do in We the people have had enough of waiting for the federal government to do its job…

And finally, in reference to the planned government crackdown on employers of illegal aliens, Darrell at Morning Coffee is going to believe it when he sees it:

The federal government is serious about cracking down on employers in Arizona who break the law by hiring illegal immigrants, a top-ranking immigration official said.

Some businesses regard the fines they could face for illegal hirings as the price of doing business, so the government will pursue criminal charges against the worst violators, said Alonzo Peña, the new chief of investigations for Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Arizona.

He’s right to be skeptical, but I’ll go one further – I’ll believe it when I see some people actually entering the jail. Still, if they’re even considering actually enforcing the law, that’s progress.

The Republicans still don’t get it. They have abandonded the conservative cause and a third party may be viable when enough conservatives lend their effort into it.

I have created a Wiki to discuss and plan for this. What would the platform look like? Who would potential candidates be?

If you want to contribute go to http://ur.wiki.com/Home and join us in discussion. Contribute your ideas for what you would like to see as a viable alternative to the “still lost in the dark” Republican Party.
