Can we apply this logic to gun laws?

The logic is that the “war on drugs” causes collateral damage and therefore “prohibition” should cease and people should be permitted to “get high” at will.  Can we apply that logic to gun laws?  Millions are spent enforcing gun laws and regulating their use.  Millions are spent debating just what those laws mean, like the recent case that went before the Supreme Court.  There’s a huge amount of collateral damage; just google “ATF raid wrong house,” not to mention Waco and Ruby Ridge.  So why not abolish the ATF and revoke all gun laws?

    Because guns are actually *useful*, while getting stoned out of your gourd makes you easier to control…..
