Beginning of the End of a Scam?

(Guest-quickpost from Drew)

I used to tell people that John McCain’s global warming beliefs didn’t terribly bother me because science would probably debunk the theory before our next president got the chance to do anything stupid. From Instapundit — Perhaps the tide has turned already?

Another year of global warming?

December 31, 2008 by Laura · 2 Comments

homepageglobalwarmingWell, 2008 was another year of global warming, err, cooling.  Watts Up With That has covered it extensively.  The ice in Greenland is growing.  And while anecdotes do not equal data, the anecdotes are piling up.  Baby, it’s cold outside.  It snowed here in New Orleans!  And the Worst Climate Predictions of 2008 is not to be missed.  Read more

Hypermiling - the video game

December 5, 2008 by Laura · 2 Comments

Can these econuts get ANY more tedious? Sadly, the answer is Yes, they can! Powerline has had an ad lately linking to a videogame for eco-friendly driving.  And lefty websites are bragging how they’re beating Powerline in their lame little contest.  Morons. Read more

A Global Warming “Potato Famine?”

All Gore does not, apparently, have to be present for the Gore Effect to take place:

Snow fell as the House of Commons debated Global Warming yesterday - the first October fall in the metropolis since 1922. The Mother of Parliaments was discussing the Mother of All Bills for the last time, in a marathon six hour session.

It’s the hypocrisy, stupid.

October 18, 2008 by Laura · Leave a Comment

This isn’t the main reason I think that man-made global warming is garbage science, but it certainly helps. The people who preach about it the loudest demonstrate daily that they don’t believe what they say, and behave as though it’s all a big joke - in between spittle-flecked diatribes demanding that if we proles care about the earth, we’d Do Something Right NOW!!!1!eleventy!!1!.

For example -

Gore’s call to arms is typical of his environmental conduct: asking others to do what he himself wouldn’t — sacrifice. His massive carbon footprint, his frequent use of private jets, and his inflated electricity bill — more than 20 times the national average — have all been widely reported. Calling for young climate activists to engage in unlawful, albeit non-violent, action takes the hypocrisy to a whole new level.

Did Al Gore just visit Boise?

October 13, 2008 by Laura · Leave a Comment

Did Al Gore just visit Boise? Because his coldening effect is well-documented. No word if the Goracle attended, but they did just have a climate change conference, so maybe that explains this:

:-)

Big snow flakes fell early Friday evening, turning Downtown Boise into a giant snow globe for people on their way home from work.

The snow caught many people off guard, including this bicyclist heading down Idaho Street between 8th and 9th around 5:45 p.m. Across the Treasure Valley, tree branches heavy with wet, snow-covered leaves fell on power lines, causing scattered power outages.

This is the earliest measurable snowfall in Boise since recordkeeping began in 1898, according to the National Weather Service.

Unbelievable Stupidity In The Guise Of Bad Science

At Watts Up With That?, a BS alert:

Noise from excessive ice calving and cracking due to “climate change” would affect the [polar] bear’s hearing. I wonder what agency was gullible enough to provide a grant for this load of rubbish?
