Feminists: Rapist isn’t necessarily violent, just creepy

First, I thought Valley Girl behavior went out in the 80s. Second, why does she keep looking up? Is she waiting for lightning to strike her?  (I was waiting for that, too.)  And this quote is priceless: “When you’re having sex with someone you don’t know very well, really really messed up stuff happens.”  Move over, Stephen Hawking. You’ve been deposed.

The lesson here, once again, is that it’s not rape (that is, it’s not rape-rape) when the left otherwise supports you. Bill Clinton, Roman Polanski, and now Julian Assange make the pattern quite clear.  Rape accusations mean nothing unless they already oppose you.  As a little thought exercise, let’s imagine for a moment if a woman leveled these accusations against Karl Rove instead of the Hero of Wikileaks. She claimed that he removed her clothes roughly enough to snap her necklace during what started as a consensual sexual encounter. She “tried to put on some articles of clothing as it was going too quickly and uncomfortably but Assange ripped them off again.” She didn’t want to carry on with it but “it was too late to stop Assange as she had gone along with it so far.” Upon realizing that he wasn’t using a condom, she tried to reach for one but Assange forcibly restrained her. Finally he used a condom, but ripped it and then ejaculated without withdrawing.  These are accusations; nothing is proved and Assange should be considered innocent until proven guilty.  But had a woman accused Karl Rove of these things, feminists would be screaming like a goth in the sun for frogmarches and probably summary execution.

Instead, these accusations are summed up by Naomi Wolf as behaving like a “narcissistic jerk,”  while these two top feminist bloggers casually describe it as “messed-up… creepy” behavior.  If you want to subject yourself to more of this tripe – for example, if you never attended a Womyn’s Studies class or seminar and you’re curious to see what that would be like – here’s another clip.

Blogger’s Choice Conservative of the Year

RWN has posted the results of a blogger poll for Conservative of the Year.  I didn’t vote for the guy who actually won.  I voted for Paul Ryan, Allen West and Marco Rubio, who all fared very well.  (Click through to see who the winner was.)  I like him a lot, but while I heartily approve of what I’ve seen so far, I’m still not convinced his overall policies are very conservative.  I’ve seen a few things about him I don’t like.  I can tell you that even without studying him much, I’d take him over Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney because I know what they’re like and the poll winner can hardly be worse.

The Legend of ZorkObama

There’s only one thing to say about Iowahawk’s latest: bwahahaha!

YOU ARE IN AN OVAL OFFICE. ON THE TV ARE TOWN HALLS. AT THE TOWN HALLS ARE PEASANTS. THEY ARE YELLING AT YOUR CONGRESS. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?

>ATTACK PEASANTS

WITH WHAT?

>MEDIA

WHAT WEAPON?

>RACE CARD

THE PEASANTS ARE NOW ANGRIER. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?

>ATTACK PEASANTS

WITH WHAT?

>UNIONS

WHAT WEAPON?

>FISTS, NIGHTSTICKS

And you can still play the original Zork online – here. Back in 1981-82, I used to stay up all night playing this on Digital Equipment Corp’s mainframe. Those were the days…

What hath the left wrought?

When you have to post rules for your commenters that prohibit them from:

- Advocating violent overthrow of the government, or harm toward high-ranking officials.
- Advocating the defeat of the US military, attack against the US, or other overtly anti-American sentiment.
- Graphic violence, gore, pain, or human suffering (except with a legitimate political purpose, and with a clear warning in the subject line).

then it’s already over. You’ve lost. And this rule makes it clear why:

Now that we have a Democratic President, I do not think it is unreasonable to expect that he be shown more respect here than the illegitimate, incompetent asshole who previously held the office. He should be referred to as “President Obama,” “Barack Obama,” or simply “Obama.” Calling him derogatory names (including “Barry”), attacking him with content-free insults, or parroting partisan attacks from the McCain/Palin campaign, are all disrespectful to this community as a whole.

You can’t spend the better part of a decade rooting people on as they behave like uncivil, demagoguing, dishonest, reactionary jackasses and then expect them to turn on a dime. This is normal behavior now.  Look on your works, ye leftists, and despair.
