Mass Backwards reports that an attempted robbery at a Christian bookstore was foiled.
Instead of handing over the cash that was in the register, Davis said, “I don’t think so,” and grabbed a pair of scissors from under the counter.
Now, this may not be the best move in all cases – Davis correctly concluded that the robber did not have a gun hidden in his paper in this case – but I do enjoy the fact that a Christian both defended himself and also did not feel the need to apologize for it. Too many Christians think peace requires passivity.
“I am a peaceful man, but I am not passive,” Davis said. “I work way too hard for someone to take it from me.”
