(Guestpost from Drew)

Usually the times do not require my talents in the form of frequent posting. I therefore inherit a heavy mantle, with the recent passing of our dear friend Laura*. We will remember her fondly. At times like this, I think it’s natural for us to ask ourselves certain questions:
Where did Laura go?
Where did she ever come from?
What is life?
What is death?
Why are we all here?
What is PursuingHoliness?
What is the internet?
Why is the sky blue and not red?
These questions will all be answered in due time. But now, let us simply take a moment of silence.

Now rest at ease; Drew is here. Remember, just as the lion hunts the gazelle, likewise you should hunt after the 100% PURE Truth. Drewish Wisdom — more precious than rubies and more profitable than silver – makes the world go round. And who can compare to Drew’s talent and brilliancy? And just as the sky is blue because of its nitrogen content, likewise will your mood and spirit turn blue if you constantly inhale the propaganda spewed by liberals. But Uncle Drew will help guide you through these troubled times.
Oh yeah, Ken and Nick? They’re okay.
Now, just one brief tidbit of wisdom to get us started:
When people tell you that government should be your savior, just consider Batman. Batman would hardly be a hero if not for the corruption and ineptitude of government. And we all know that Batman is a hero — in fact, the greatest of all heroes. Thus, the government is inept.
So along with Papa Drew (and his trusty, yet comical, sidekicks Nick and Ken), let Batman be your guide.
Given the ineptitude of government, do you want the government deciding what medicine you can take, which lightbulbs you can use, and how much carbon you can burn?
*UPDATE FROM LAURA: (And not from beyond the grave)…. Although I was cracking up laughing at this – and I really needed it, thanks, Drew! I feel obligated to point out for the literalists and humor-challenged among us that Drew was, in fact, kidding. In spite of his efforts to put me on the cart, I’m not dead yet. I feel fine. I’d like to go for a walk. And walk I will, because the hospital parking garage is incredibly far from the room of my family member who also is not yet ready for the cart. Real life is keeping me away from the computer for the most part, and in any event, although I think politics are important (and as much a part of what we must give to Caesar as our taxes) right now I need to be spending more time praying and reading the bible and taking care of people who need me. So to officially debunk the “Laura is dead” rumor – in spite of any barefoot photos you may have seen, and regardless of what you hear when you make your screen reader read this blog backwards – I have not yet joined the choir invisible. I will be an ex-blogger someday, but it is not this day. A day may come when the keyboards of men fail, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. This day, we write!

I love it………look forward to future posts even though you tried to put my wife “in the cart.”
See, Laura feels happy!!!
