Martha Coakley, Democrat, says that “You can have religious freedom but you probably shouldn’t work in the emergency room” because you might be called upon to prescribe or dispense emergency contraception.
Does she also think that devout Muslims can have religious freedom but probably shouldn’t work in non-halal slaughter-houses, in any factory line-job where 5 prayer breaks a day impose an unfair burden on employers and inequity for non-Muslims in the same job positions, grocery stores that sell pepperoni pizzas and other pork products, or drive taxis where passengers may carry alcohol or be accompanied by a seeing eye dog?
