It’s so easy to get into a rut. We drift along, focused on raising the kids, getting the bills paid, and before you know it, we begin treating church like a country club and faith like a self-help program. It’s easy to forget that – as my pastor pointed out in a sermon series a few years ago – we’re on a battle ship, not a cruise ship, and God expects us to live like it.
