Yesterday morning – after having been up most of the night and when I was just getting back to sleep – I got a call from the training company I occasionally teach for, asking me if I could cover for a sick instructor. So I staggered out the door, less than fully caffeinated, and taught Excel 2003 Intro. Which is actually a pretty fun class to teach, although getting paid a good wage to teach a fun class is obviously not as good as lazing around my home office in ragged jeans developing websites for my clients blogging.
The classroom is on the 23rd floor and facing Lake Pontchartrain right at the foot of the Causeway, which is the longest overwater bridge in the world. So the view was rather distracting, and it got worse (though no one minded) when someone noticed there was a rainbow. Sadly, my cell phone takes lousy pictures, so this is the best I could do:
