Well, so far. I, too, am perplexed and unhappy about his selection of Spencer Abraham for his new campaign manager.

I’m not jumping ship, but as SeeDubya wrote, Whatever. I’m still a Fred backer but his latest personnel choice isn’t resonating well. And he’s not enjoying the stellar fundraising he used to. What generated the online and air-wave excitement about Fred was his clear articulation of conservative principles over all kinds of media. Wow, I thought, here’s a guy who not only gets it but, Reagan-style–knows how to communicate it. He hasn’t done any radio commentaries for a month now and he needs to get back to it. Otherwise, the people he impressed so much are going to think that was just a flash in the pan.
