☭ is the mood of the day

Why the hammer and sickle? Because I can, really.  Turns out you don’t have to use a graphic, you can type & #9973;  with the space removed from between the ampersand and the pound symbol, and you’ve got it.  And given this, this, this and this, this, this, this and especially this and this, along with the pravda about the deficit, it just seems to fit.

And in that spirit, I’m reposting something from 2007 – an interesting video by a KGB defector:

Former KGB agent and Soviet defector Yuri Alexandrovich Bezmenov explains Communist psychological warfare methods and results. This is “pravilno” – truthful, right on, a profound piece of wisdom. Although Cobb describes it as a stunning expose, this sort of thing has actually been described and warned against in the far right for decades. The original function of the John Birch Society was to educate people about this very plan, and the reason why I was a member many years ago until the lunatics drove me out. (I didn’t know, when I was briefly a member in the 90s, that JBS opposed the Civil Rights Act; at the time the anti-communist, anti-UN message had such appeal to me that I didn’t thoroughly research the organization before I joined.)

NOT an exact transcript, emphasis added:
But in reality, the main area of the KGB is not in intelligence at all. Only 15% is spent on intelligence… the other 85% is spent on a slow process we call idealogical subversion or active measures or psychological warfare. What it basically means is to change the perception of reality of every American to such an extent that in spite of the abundance of information, no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interests of defending themselves, their families, their community and their country. It’s a great brainwashing process that goes very slow and is divided into four stages, the first one being demoralization.

It takes 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation… because that is the minimum number of years it takes to educate one generation, to expose them to the ideology of the enemy. In other words, Marxism Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least three generations of American students without being challenged by the basic views of Americanism. The result you can see.

Most of the people who graduated in the sixties, dropouts or half baked intellectuals are now occupying the positions of power in the government, civil service, business, mass media, educational system.
You are stuck with them. You cannot get through to them. They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli, in a certain pattern. You cannot change their mind even if you expose them to authentic information. Even if you prove that white is white and black is black, you still cannot change the basic perception and the logic of behavior. In other words, the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible. To get rid society of these people you need another twenty or fifteen years to educate a new generation of patriotically minded and common sense people who would be acting in favor and in the interest of United States society.

[Regarding dissenters] Marxist Leninist regime does not tolerate these people. … unlike in present United States there will be no place for dissent in future Marxist Leninist America. Here you can get popular like Daniel Ellsberg and filthy rich like Jane Fonda for being dissident… in future these people will be simply squashed like cockroaches. Nobody is going to pay them nothing for their beautiful noble ideas of equality. This they don’t understand and it will be greatest shock for them, of course.

The demoralization process in the United States is basically completed already. For the last 35 years – actually it’s over fulfilled, because the demoralization now reaches such areas where previously not even Comrade Andropov and all his experts would even dream of such a tremendous success. Most of it is done by Americans to Americans, thanks to lack of moral standards.

I mentioned before, exposure to true information does not matter anymore. A person who was demoralized is unable to assess true information. Facts tell nothing to him, even if I shower him with information, with authentic truth, with documents, with pictures… even if I take him by force to the Soviet Union and show him concentration camp, he will refuse to believe it. Until he is going to receive a kick in his fat bottom, when the military boot crushes him, then he will understand, but not before then. That is the tragedy of the situation of demoralization.

Tell me again, who won the cold war? This reminds me a great deal of the Palestinians who, having received what they wanted, now wish that Israel was still in charge. And of the radical Muslim who was converted back to western values thanks to the time he spent in Saudi Arabia.

Bezmenov says frankly that Marxists and useful idiots will be first against the wall, but that’s assuming the left is not consumed by, instead of merely allied with, radical Islam. They may be the first on the beheading block instead.

Didn’t take long for those videos to get “removed” from Youtube.

    Sounded pretty damaging though.

  2. Thanks for the heads-up on that. :-) I was able to find another copy, though with Spanish Portugese? subtitles.

I am speechless at some of the parallels that mirrored in this video. I am not a conspiracy theorist, but this really makes me pause to recognize the seriousness of our current situation.

It appears we may be at the “Crisis” stage he describes in the second video. “Never waste a good crisis” is sounding pretty dangerous right now.

I will write more when I have time, but I hope we do not let the fire of American Patriotism die. From this point forward, I will do everything I can to make sure that doesn’t happen.

  4. You know, the funny thing is the closer we get to it, the less I care. A few years ago I would have been absolutely rabid. Now, I’m not just doing the “Atlas Shrugged” thing economically, but emotionally. A sort of resignation – “well, suckers, you’re getting what you asked for. Now choke on it.” And I’m spending more time looking at the kingdom and not the country. Mind you, I am fighting and I DO care… just a whole lot less than I cared about the 2006 elections or the last shamnesty. I was *furious.* Now, not so much.
