Ted Kennedy was “passionate and righteous” so that evidently trumps the objectively harmful things he’s done to the nation for, oh, the last 40+ years. As always, liberals are judged by their motives, not their actions and certainly not for the results of their actions. It’s the hypocrisy, stupid. Which is why we have example after example after example of the harm the cynically described health care “reforms” will cause but liberals think they’re chock full of moral goodness because they mean well. “Meaning well” has not prevented Medicaid, Medicare, the VA, Indian Health Services, MassCare, DirigiCare, TennCare and all the other government health care systems currently implemented in this country from delivering crappy service.
Amidst all the hagiography, an amusing headline: “Kennedy to lie in repose in Boston for 2 days.” When I scanned the headline, I saw “Kennedy to lie in Boston” and I thought, that’s hardly news, he’s been doing it for decades. I’m far from alone – ABC didn’t quite get the responses they were looking for when they asked readers “what the Kennedys mean to you.”
On who our esteemed Attorney General chooses to prosecute and who he leaves alone, one of these things is not like the other. And the difference is a disgrace.
ID checks for townhall dissidents, but not for voting and not for taxpayer funded healthcare? Niiice.
Priorities: they won’t touch tort reform with a ten meter cattle prod but they will implement the Fairness Doctrine using whatever methods necessary.

Lie to the voters all you want (especially about how the public option won’t lead to single payer) but for pity’s sake, make sure to tell terrorists and suspected terrorists the truth!
And finally, Islam means peace – when you submit to it, as a meat packing company recently learned. But a Christian class president can be blocked from speaking at her commencement because she might say something religious.

lol, I had to restrain myself to keep from writing one of my “I’m glad he’s dead” posts. But I guess if the legislature changes the Masachusetts law, the Democrats may soon get an extra appointed senator soon who will actually be present for voting. That’ll be a negative development.
In any case, though, those ABC comments are hilarious.

I’m not at ALL persuaded that Ted Kennedy is in heaven. And honestly, I don’t care. That’s between him and God. But I will certainly point out the reality that the policies he espoused, laws he passed, and his personal behavior caused – directly and indirectly – many deaths of which he never repented and GREAT objective harm to millions of people.
