Something doesn’t smell right. Democrat Gov. Bill Ritter gave his press conference yesterday announcing his withdrawal from his re-election bid.
And from the press? Resounding silence. What could they be investigating and reporting? Oh, nothing much… just… a whistleblower scandal involving sweetheart deals for illegal aliens, covered up by government employees – one of whom already admitting lying about it in order to sandbag a subordinate. And a possible affair between the governor and a key player in that scandal. Hardly worth mentioning, obviously. No big deal.
