More ER adventures and a healing?

Yesterday was certainly an interesting day. Our church choir sang in what I think is the only local park to decorate for Christmas after Katrina. My daughter – also in the choir – seemed fine, although a bit quiet on the ride home. But 20 minutes after we got home, we found her on the floor of her room, semi-conscious. She was incoherent, her face was burning hot to touch, and she was shivering with cold. She did not have a fever. The slightest touch hurt her so much that she started to cry. She couldn’t walk. We rushed her to the ER, with a frantic phone call to our church’s prayer chain.

At one point, she asked where she was – she had no recollection of being carried to the car and driven to the ER. The last thing she remembered was a conversation in the car about halfway home from the park. A boatload of tests were performed. There was absolutely nothing wrong with her by the time the tests were finished, although her early symptoms were consistent with several things, all very serious. But each one of those things, if they were the problem, would have persisted. She just gradually improved over the course of several hours until she was herself again.

Since nearly the same thing happened to me last weekend – different symptoms, but same puzzling lack of diagnosis of what started out looking like a very serious problem – I’m really starting to wonder if this was a case of God healing us.

Wow, that is an intense story! I pray that you all will be safe for the holidays and that you will gain wisdom and insight from what God is presenting to you.

    Blessings,
    Matt

Thanks for your prayers. Even though we’re both feeling okay now, we’re still going to have more tests done for safety’s sake. An explanation of all this would be good, but I suspect we may never know for sure – at least while we’re wearing these “earth suits.” :-)
