He’s not my favorite Republican, but I don’t think his response was an insult to Sarah Palin. He might have spoken more tactfully, but he was nonetheless correct. Endorsing one 2012 candidate now would be silly. I’m not even sure myself if I’m going to support Palin next time.
I’m not sure I’ll support Palin; if Jindal’s running against her that would be tough. I’ve been a Jindal supporter for a long time. But I really do see this as a slap by McCain against conservatives. He could have been gracious, and he wasn’t. He spent half his campaign extending every measure of courtesy to Obama and Clinton, but couldn’t squeeze out a few drops of it for Palin. I think it’s all part of his welcome to his new overlords.
