My first reaction was to be appalled. My second reaction was that maybe this could be a forum for pro-lifers to make their case, as well as to flood the voting.
Sorry, I can’t get past “appalled” just yet. But then, I’m still appalled at a similar euthanasia faux-game show they did in the Netherlands years ago. I’m appalled that as a society, we seem to need to reduce such serious issues to caricature and sound bites in order to discuss them. That feels like such a failure of who we are, and who we (as a society) should be. I will be very surprised if this moves the discussion forward in any way. Damning with faint praise, but I guess it could be worse: neither Tia Tequila nor Paris Hilton are involved with the show.
