Open Trackback – Immigration Drinking Game Edition

Tonight is the big address by President Bush on immigration. Not “illegal immigration” mind you. Just immigration. In The Immigration Drinking Game I said

I probably won’t do it, but I’m seriously considering having a drink each time the President uses the following terms (from John Derbyshire, with a hat tip to Polipundit):

jobs Americans won’t do
nation of immigrants
compassionate
family values don’t stop at the Rio Grande
good-hearted people
path to citizenship
my good friend Vicente Fox
this is not amnesty

True, I’d gain nothing but a pounding headache and a reminder that I should have cleaned the bathroom instead of writing this post. But some numbness would be nice, at this point. Why won’t the Republicans listen?

Upon consideration, I’m adding these to the list:
out of the shadows
back of the line

After I read the Hot Air post, Bush soothes Fox over National Guard border plan, I realized that a large frozen daiquiri just might hit the spot. Bush hasn’t even publicly told us what the plan is, and he’s already telling Mexico not to worry about it. Their corrupt government’s export of their poor and downtrodden will continue apace so that American taxpayers can continue to have the privilege of providing free health care, social services and education for them. In Border Protection, I asked

what’s easier to a)get around and b)remove? Up to 5000 troops scattered along a 2000 mile border, or a fence?

I’m not at all hopeful about the President having a real plan to deal with this problem, because I believe the problem as he sees it is conservative voters, not illegal aliens. The fact that he is more interested in reassuring Fox than conservatives speaks volumes. As a matter of fact, in a nod to our new Mexican overlords, I might just make it a margarita. In the meantime, trackbacks are welcome and please remember to link back to this post.
