Louisiana black bear moving through St. Tammany Parish
Authorities with the state Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, who are monitoring the bear, have alerted authorities that the federally and state protected bears are not predatory or aggressive by nature and that this one should be treated like “a 300-pound stray dog,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
