Ward Churchill Took A Loyalty Oath?

A a mathematics instructor at California State University East Bay lost her job for refusing to sign this oath:

“I, ____________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties upon which I am about to enter.”

It seems that by law ALL California state employees are required to sign it as a condition of employment. Colorado and other states have similar laws. Evidently Ward Churchill swore a loyalty oath, as did the employees of California colleges who allow Marines to be run off their campus job fairs, and the multitudes of lefty professors who preach how eeevil Amerikkka is to a captive, paying audience, as seen in Indoctrinate U and well documented by FIRE and other organizations. So there’s clearly no effort to actually enforce these oaths. Any attempt to enforce them would, I am sure, be met with an ACLU, taxpayer funded lawsuit. And depending on the offense, I just might be in favor of such a lawsuit.

The woman who was fired refused to sign the oath because she’s a Quaker and wasn’t allowed to add “nonviolently” to it. She refused to take the oath dishonestly.
