Although in all fairness, I think that though the implementation of this budget represents socialist values, our “national values” are not socialist. They are postmodern. Which is to say, people are idiots with no idea of what they voted for or the real life consequences thereof. It sounds good, so they’re excited about it. But they’ll learn, and when they do, their collective temper tantrum will be awesome to behold.

Foxwood, I agree. This is a sorry state. It’s tiring, thinking of what it will take to get us out of this mess. I think it’s going to take several generations to get it sorted out.
